Went for a quick hike out at the Federation Forest State Park on a gorgeous spring weekend afternoon. Temperatures were peaking in the mid-70s °F and the sky was clear blue, making for some of the first clear and sunny weather of the season this year. The forest was looking great, with much of the vegetation just starting to leaf out, producing every shade of green imaginable.
A key feature of this park are the ginormous evergreen trees, remnants of the Old Growth Forest which used to cover the mountains here. It is quite an experience to walk amongst these giants.
Lovely — as always! Thank you.
