Trip Date: April 3rd, 2021
Springtime in the Cascade Mountains, so a mix of rain and sun today. The Marckworth State Forest consists of 1000s of acres of active and working forest land, managed by the Washington Department of Natural Resources. Located to the East of Duvall, Washington, the forest is relatively close to developed cities and towns. However, the main gravel road travels miles into the forest, so you quickly feel like you are deep into the forest and away from the crowds of town. There are lots of gated side roads that would make for some excellent bike exploration, as much of the forest is accessible by non-motorized travel only.
