Trip Date: June 23rd, 2021
Happened to be out for an evening drive through town and spotted a remarkable opportunity to photograph the full moon rising next to Mount Rainier. There was a particularly nice contrast of light and dark on Mount Rainier this evening due to the early summer snow melt causing the rocky slopes of the mountain to appear through the snow. The colorful light show in the sky and on the mountain was marvelous as the sun crept closer to the horizon in the west. After sundown, the yellow glow of the moon really started to shine.
