Visiting the Larches

Trip Date: November 2nd, 2020

After waiting months for Hwy 410 to re-open after the fire closures, we went out for an afternoon trip up and over Chinook pass. This ended up being the last week the pass was open for 2020 and it sure was a gorgeous time to visit. The larch trees dominate the American River valley once you get over Chinook pass and start making your way into the Wenatchee National Forest. The color contrast of the golden larch trees on the surrounding evergreen forests is something that the photos below only being to illustrate.
