An afternoon drive out on some backroads in Pierce County with Mom and Emma took us to some places we had not been before. We explored some of the roads around Electron, WA and the Lake Kapowsin area. The public fishing access at Lake Kapowsin had a boat ramp, floating dock, car and trailer parking areas and a pit toilet. Behind the lake we traveled on some gravel roads which had intermittent patches of blue forget-me-not flowers at the higher elevations. From here we found a great viewpoint spot overlooking the backside of Lake Kapowsin, with the Olympic Mountains visible in the far distance.
