Chambers Creek Regional Park is a stunning public park located adjacent to the Puget Sound to the southwest of Tacoma, Washington. This Pierce County park features a few miles of saltwater shoreline, awesome sea-level and hillside views of he Puget Sound, a few miles of paved trails and numerous wide open fields for sports and relaxation. A key feature of the park is the Chambers Bay public golf course<\/a>, sitting on 230 acres with expansive views of the Puget Sound beyond from every place on the course. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chambers Creek area was originally home to the small Steilacoom Indian Tribe, an unrecognized Native American Tribe of the pacific north west. European settlement of the area began starting around the 1830s and the Chambers Creek area has be utilized for various industrial uses over the decades. Remnants of some of the industrial past can be seen throughout the park by way of large concrete structures and foundations scattered about.
